Hello.
I am an aspiring web and game developer and private pilot currently biding my time as a military aviator and mechanic. I hold an AAS from Purdue University Global in Information Technology - Summa Cum Laude. I also have an expansive love of space and rocketry.
My Skills.
Software and Web Development
I started programming when I was 16 years old, in Visual Basic. My first forays into web development was designing webpages in plain text editors on Windows and an old technology called Web TV.
I tinkered with various technologies and languages throughout my adult life. I dived deep into
Unity development several years ago and am currently learning Python.
I attended Purdue University Global to obtain my AS in Information technology - Computer Programming.
A not quite comprehensive list of what I have dabbled in includes:
- Python
- NodeJS and JavaScript
- Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- C# and Unity
- C++
- Arduino and associated programming
Military Career
Supporting me while I learn to become a web developer is my career
is the US Coast Guard as an Avionics Electrical Technician and
aviator. I perform maintenance capabilities and quality assurance on a wide range of
avionics, mechanical and electrical systems, and I operate sophisticated command
and control and sensor systems as part of my aviation duties.
During this time I received my Airplane Single Engine private pilot certificate and am now working towards my A&P license.
My Projects
Parking Winds App and Current Rebuild in progress
A working app designed to assist Coast Guard air stations plan for winds when parking aircraft outside.
The first version Uses the MEVN stack and is hosted on an NGINX
server setup completely by me as a way to learn the entire full stack process. A rebuild is in progress that uses a dynamic LeafletJS map while keeping the same backend and functionality.
